Shelling of Kupiansk district on August 7th: Number of injured rises
The number of injured civilians as a result of the Russian strike with four guided aerial bombs on the village of Kruhliakivka in the Kupiansk district of the Kharkiv region on August 7th has increased to seven people. Additionally, there are reports of two fatalities, according to "Suspilne Kharkiv."
Among the injured are five civilians and two rescuers.
Prior to this, Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko reported about another wounded investigator.
The casualties from the Russian strike are a 45-year-old woman and a 65-year-old man.
Private houses were destroyed and damaged in the settlement, and fires erupted. Emergency services are on the scene, as informed by the Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov.
Earlier, the Regional Military Administration stated that as a result of the Russian attack, 2 women and 2 men were hospitalized, and a 62-year-old woman received medical assistance on-site.
Russian strikes in Kupiansk district
During the past week, Russian occupiers attempted to regain control over territories in the Kharkiv region that they had previously lost after a counteroffensive by the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the liberation of the region. According to Deputy Minister of Defense Hanna Maliar, the most intense activity was observed in the Kupiansk direction.
On Monday, August 7th, the occupiers shelled the village of Kucherivka in the Kharkiv region. Two people were killed, and three were injured.
