Seven Russian carriers of Kalibr missiles detected in Black Sea - Ukrainian Navy
This morning, October 8, 16 Russian ships deployed in the Black Sea area are currently on combat duty. Seven of them are equipped with Kalibr cruise missiles, according to the Ukrainian Navy.
Military officials noted that this grouping of Russian naval forces could launch a total of up to 48 Kalibr missiles in a single volley during a missile attack.
Meanwhile, no Russian vessels are currently observed in the Sea of Azov.
Additionally, according to the Ukrainian Navy, two Russian ships are presently located in the Mediterranean Sea, one of which is a Kalibr carrier capable of launching up to four cruise missiles.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces also reported that over the past day, two vessels traveling from the Bosporus Strait passed through the Kerch Strait into the Sea of Azov in Russia's interest.
As previously reported, yesterday morning, October 7, four Russian Kalibr carriers were detected in the Black Sea, capable of launching a total of up to 24 missiles.
Furthermore, aviation expert Anatolii Khrapchynskyi commented to RBC-Ukraine that Russia may use Kalibr missiles for strikes against Ukraine more frequently than Kh-101 missiles.
Additionally, in July, Dmytro Pletenchuk, a spokesperson for the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reported that the Russian forces are building unified launchers for Kalibr and Onyx missiles.
