Serbia is ready to participate in the post-war recovery of Ukraine and support its European integration, sharing its experience, according to the Prime Minister of Serbia, Ana Brnabić, cited by Jutarnji list.

Prime Minister Ana Brnabić participated in the online summit of the Crimean Platform and stated that Serbia is "not value-neutral" and that it "fully respects the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine."

"Serbia regrets the suffering Ukraine and its people have endured," said the Prime Minister of Serbia.

She also mentioned that Serbia would continue to pay special attention to the humanitarian situation in Ukraine and provide assistance, as evidenced by its decision to donate a batch of medicines and other goods.

Brnabić stated that Serbia was a true friend of Ukraine. The country was ready to participate in the post-war recovery of Ukraine and support its European integration, sharing its experience.

In April of this year, at a conference in Dublin, Brnabić also noted that Serbia was not neutral about the war in Ukraine and that it unequivocally condemned Russian aggression.

Serbia's position on the war in Ukraine

President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, stated that his country was not against selling weapons to intermediaries who could then transfer them to Ukraine to fight against Russian aggression. Earlier, American media, citing secret Pentagon documents, reported that Serbia had agreed to or already had sent weapons to Ukraine.

Recently, members of the Serbian parliament, by a majority of votes, dismissed the Minister of Economy, Rade Bast, who called on the government to join sanctions against Russia.

On Tuesday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with his Serbian counterpart, Aleksandar Vučić, in Athens. The leaders discussed the situation in Ukraine and Kosovo, among other topics.
