Serbia firmly supports Ukraine's territorial integrity in accordance with international law. The country is ready to help rebuild one or two Ukrainian cities or regions, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said during his speech at the Ukraine – Southeast Europe summit.

"On behalf of my country, I can say that Serbia will remain firm and unwavering in its adherence to the UN Charter and international law, which includes the protection of territorial integrity — a principle recognized by the UN as the most important. We have always stood for this, and as I've said, we will continue to stand firm. I believe this may, in some way, also be helpful for Ukraine," Vučić said.

According to him, whether there will be a ceasefire or "something else" in Ukraine depends on the country's president and the Ukrainian people.

"If there is a ceasefire or a truce, that is up to you," Vučić said, addressing President Zelenskyy, "and up to the Ukrainian people. We can assist in that process, but I would like, Mr. President, to take on one or two cities or regions together with you — ones we could help rebuild. I believe this would be clearly understood by the Ukrainian people as a strong gesture of support."

He added that Ukraine can always rely on Serbia's humanitarian aid and its support for the country's territorial integrity.

"We are ready to listen and see how we can be useful and offer our support. I hope that, without big words, we can at least do a little more for the Ukrainian people — because they truly deserve it," the Serbian president added.

In February 2025, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal stated that the estimated cost of Ukraine's reconstruction would be approximately €500 billion.
