Security Service and Prosecutor's Office investigate Russia's influence on Ukraine's anti-corruption agency

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and the Prosecutor's General Office are conducting a special operation to eliminate Russian influence on the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU), RBC-Ukraine reports, citing its own sources within Ukraine's intelligence services.
According to the sources, a series of searches is currently underway in various regions of Ukraine.
The detectives are being accused of state treason, illegal trade with Russia, and corrupt actions carried out in the interests of oligarchs, among other things.
Preliminary information indicates that there is evidence of unofficial influence by Russian intelligence services on Bureau detectives.
"In particular, one of the detectives was passing secret information to the enemy through Yanukovych's circle. Another betrayed the state and was engaged in illegal business with Russia - today, the SBU detained him," the report states.
More detailed information about the operation will be provided by the security services later.
Scandals involving NABU
Journalists recently compiled a top 10 list of scandals involving NABU employees.
The temporary investigative commission of the Verkhovna Rada will examine the activities of NABU and SAP.
In addition, NABU has been caught in a scandal over the wealth of Roman Nedov, Deputy head of the detective division.
