NATO countries must help Ukraine take a position of strength. Only then will Ukraine avoid losing the war, says NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, according to Bild.

"The front is not moving in the right direction. But at what cost? The Russians are paying for this with 1,000 to 1,500 soldiers every day, who are either killed or severely wounded. Yet, the Russians are not achieving their objectives," he said.

And the goal, according to Rutte, is to ensure that the occupiers never achieve their objectives.

"Therefore, no: Ukraine will not lose. And we must support them (the Ukrainians) in taking a position of strength," concluded the NATO Secretary-General.

Regarding the supply of certain weapon systems, Rutte referred to this as "a national decision."

"I strongly urge our allies to provide weapon systems so that the Ukrainians have maximum strength for defense. The US is number one, and Germany is number two," he stated.

War in Ukraine

Earlier, the Center for Countering Disinformation announced that Russia does not plan to end the war against Ukraine and is preparing to fight through 2025. Meanwhile, the occupiers are suffering heavy losses. For example, in January alone, Russia lost more than 15,000 soldiers in the Pokrovsk direction.

At the same time, at the end of last year, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the war in Ukraine could end in 2025. He also specified the condition for this.
