Russian forces attacked the village of Bilozerka in the Kherson region. Several people were injured, including children, according to the Kherson Regional Military Administration.

"Russian occupation forces shelled Bilozerka with artillery. Three people have been reported injured, including two children," the report says.

According to the regional military administration, a 16-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl sustained explosive and head injuries, as well as concussions.

"The boy also sustained a shrapnel wound to the forehead. They were transported to the hospital by ambulance," the administration added.

Additionally, a 21-year-old man was hospitalized with a shrapnel wound to the neck and is currently receiving medical care.

Six injured

It was later reported that six people were injured in Bilozerka. In addition, three women were injured during the Russian shelling while inside their house.

"Two of the injured, aged 43 and 62, were diagnosed with explosive and head injuries, as well as concussions," the military administration said.

Another local woman sustained an explosive injury and shrapnel wound to her forearm. She was taken to the hospital for medical treatment.

Eight injured

As of 2:40 PM, the number of people injured in the enemy strike on Bilozerka has increased to eight.

"Two men, aged 51 and 52, sustained explosive and head injuries, as well as concussions. An emergency team transported them to the hospital, where they are receiving the necessary medical care," said the head of the regional military administration, Oleksandr Prokudin.

Shelling of Kherson and the region

Russian forces have recently intensified shelling in Kherson and the right-bank part of the Kherson region.

This is reportedly linked to Russia’s decision to launch an assault on Kherson. According to RBC-Ukraine, up to 4,000 stormtroopers are expected to be deployed for the operation.

The Russians continue to storm islands in the Dnipro River mouth near Kherson, attacking Kozatsky and Velykyi Potyomkin islands.

As for Bilozerka, Russian forces have been persistently shelling this village along with other local settlements. For example, in November, Russian terrorists launched a massive strike on Bilozerka, resulting in one death.
