Russians resume assault operations in Kupiansk direction
Russian war criminals have resumed assault operations in the Kupiansk direction, but they are not successful, says Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.
According to Syniehubov, the defense capability of the Kharkiv region is being improved every day to make our military as effective as possible on the battlefield.
Over the past week, the enemy's assault attacks in the Kupiansk direction have decreased due to deteriorating weather conditions and the fact that our soldiers have been inflicting serious damage on the enemy.
"However, today the assault actions have already resumed. In the morning, our soldiers have already repelled the enemy's attempts to seize certain areas of the village of Synkivka. So far they have not succeeded. These assault attacks are coming in waves, they are predictable. And our Armed Forces are ready for it," adds Syniehubov.
The situation in the Kupiansk direction
At the end of December, the Army Commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskii, said that Russian troops continued intensive offensive actions in the Kupiansk direction and are regrouping in the Lyman direction. The Ukrainian Armed Forces do not rule out that Putin's army wants to capture Kupiansk, in particular, to enter it from the north and east to use it as a springboard for further offensive.
In particular, analysts at the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) argued that in the coming weeks, the enemy could intensify its efforts to capture Kupiansk.
