Russians massively kidnap residents of occupied Ukrainian territories
Russians continue to abduct Ukrainians living in the temporarily occupied territories on a massive scale. In this way, the invaders are trying to strengthen the repressive regime in disloyal regions, according to the National Resistance Center of Ukraine (NRCU).
"Russians abduct people by families, simply on the tip of collaborators, on suspicion of disloyalty to the occupiers. Often the victims of denunciations are those to whom the collaborators have personal animosity," the NRCU informs.
All detainees are charged with "extremism" or "treason".
Thus, according to available information, more than 50 people were abducted last week, most of whom lived in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
"In many cases, relatives are not allowed to visit the detainees," the Center notes.
The report finally emphasized that all those involved in the repression of Ukrainians will be identified and punished.
Deportation of civilian Ukrainians to Russia
During the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Russian army regularly commits war crimes. Many Western countries have condemned the Kremlin for this and promised to punish all those involved in the crimes.
Kyiv claims that about 20,000 minors were taken from Ukraine to Russia or Russian-controlled territory without the consent of their families or guardians. This is a war crime.
This case led to the issuance of arrest warrants by the ICC to Russian President Vladimir Putin and Children's Commissioner Maria Lvova-Belova.
Recently, a United Nations commission of inquiry said it had found additional evidence of Russian military aggression and war crimes in Ukraine, including rape and deportation of children to Russia.
The day before, Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets reported that 28,000 Ukrainian civilians were held captive by Russians. Such actions indicate a planned system of suppression of resistance and will.
