Russians launched Shaheds at Ukraine at night: Air Defense destroyed all drones
Russian forces launched a nighttime attack on Ukrainian territory on December 19, using kamikaze drones to release two Shahed drones. Ukrainian air defense systems successfully intercepted and destroyed all enemy targets, states the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Air Force of Ukraine.
"At night, Russian occupiers once again attacked Ukraine, employing two UAVs of the Shahed-136/131 type. All strike UAVs were destroyed by air defense systems," reported the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The Ukrainian Air Force noted that the kamikaze drones flew from the southern direction through the central regions towards Starokostiantyniv in the Khmelnytskyi region.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, drones were launched from the area of Primorsko-Akhtarsk in the Russian Federation and were successfully neutralized by Air Defense Forces in the Khmelnytskyi region.
Russian forces intensified attacks using strike drones
In recent weeks, Russian forces have intensified attacks using kamikaze drones on the territory of Ukraine.
Yesterday, on December 18, the occupation forces attacked Ukraine with strike drones resembling Shahed. Air Defense Forces successfully destroyed all enemy targets. The Russian military launched 5 UAVs from the Primorsko-Akhtarsk region in Russia into Ukraine.
The day before, explosions were heard in Odesa. The military reported the flight of strike drones from the Black Sea. Later, it was revealed that one of the enemy drones crashed in a residential area, resulting in the death of a man due to the explosion. The Air Defense Forces managed to shoot down 20 strike drones and an aviation missile Kh-59 that night.
