As of now, the Russians still have six Oreshnik missiles, which have a range of about 5,000 kilometers, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

"The Russians still have the capacity to launch up to six Oreshnik missiles," the Ukrainian president said.

The approximate range of the new Russian missile is 5,000 kilometers, and its launch systems will eventually be deployed in Belarus.

Russia struck Ukraine with Oreshnik missile

Russia used its Oreshnik missile to strike Ukraine. The attack occurred on November 21 last year, targeting a defense factory in Dnipro. Experts noted that the Russians fired a missile without explosives.

On September 30, Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko displayed a model of the Russian medium-range ballistic missile Oreshnik for the first time. During talks with the Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan, a model of the launch system was seen in his office.

According to him, the Oreshnik systems will be deployed in Belarus by the end of the year. He also emphasized that the deployment agreement was reached with Putin during a meeting in Volgograd. Earlier in September, he claimed that the missiles were supposedly on their way to Belarus.

The Oreshnik is likely a modification of the RS-26 Rubezh missile. Unconfirmed reports suggest its range could reach 5,500 km. There is limited open-source information about the missile.
