Russians fabricate a fake about Ukrainian pilot: Ukraine's intelligence refuted it
The Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine refutes the information spread by Russians about the alleged escape of a Ukrainian pilot to Russian territory, according to the representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence, Andrii Yusov.
What preceded
Today, the Russian state propaganda news outlet TASS spread information about the supposed escape of a Ukrainian pilot to Russian territory. TASS referred to the words of a so-called pilot of a Russian helicopter, Oleksiy Voyevoda, who, according to propagandists, allegedly organized this escape.
However, Russian propagandists provided no evidence for this information, neither the name of the alleged Ukrainian pilot nor any other details.
What the Main Directorate of Intelligence says
Ukrainian intelligence rejected another Russian fabrication with a brief statement.
"There is an old Ukrainian saying - a Russian lies like an old goat. This is exactly the case," said the Main Directorate of Intelligence representative, Yusov.
This summer, Ukrainian intelligence conducted a unique operation in which they managed to lure a Russian pilot along with a helicopter to the Ukrainian side. The Ukrainian special operation was codenamed Synytsya.
As stated by Ukraine's intelligence, after this special operation, the number of Russians willing to surrender to Ukrainian captivity sharply increased.
