Russians create new scheme for legalizing transfer of children from occupied territories to Russia
The occupying authorities continue to forcibly relocate Ukrainian children from temporarily occupied territories under the guise of caring for the sick and orphans, according to the National Resistance Center of Ukraine (NRC).
"Collaborators call it evacuation or rehabilitation in an attempt to create the appearance of legality and humanity of their actions," the NRC states.
According to the NRC, the enemy has expanded its operations to a children's hospice called Oduvanchyky. Initially operating in the occupied part of the Donetsk region, its activities have recently extended to the Luhansk region.
Under the pretext of assisting children with severe illnesses (including cancer), orphans, and children deprived of parental care, Russian troops are creating a base for their subsequent forced relocation to Russia.
The NRC emphasized that this practice constitutes a gross violation of international law, specifically the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, which protects children from forcible displacement and separation from their families.
"These crimes can only be stopped after the complete de-occupation of Ukrainian lands," the NRC concluded, urging people to provide information about the enemy and collaborators.
Additionally, it was reported that in the occupied Luhansk region, the Russians have canceled benefits for students, including free transportation. Ukrainian students now must pay the full fare to reach their educational institutions.
The NRC also noted that in the city of Starobilsk in the Luhansk region, Russians are recruiting students to join the war against Ukraine.
