Russians attack Pavlohrad, injuries and destruction reported
On September 6, the Russian army shelled Pavlohrad in the Dnipropetrovsk region. There are reports of casualties and destruction, according to Serhii Lysak, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration (RMA).
"The enemy attacked Pavlohrad. Preliminary reports indicate that five people have already been injured. There is also damage," Lysak said.
According to the regional governor, the threat remains, which is why a media blackout is in effect.
"Stay in shelters until the all-clear is given," Lysak advised.
Air raid alarm in Ukraine
At 9:35 AM, an air raid warning was issued across several regions, including Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, Sumy, and Donetsk. The military reported a ballistic missile threat.
Around 9:52 AM, residents of Pavlohrad in the Dnipropetrovsk region were urged to take shelter. Reports indicated a high-speed target heading towards Pavlohrad from the Donetsk region. Later, another high-speed target was spotted in the Kharkiv region, also moving towards Pavlohrad. The air raid warning in Dnipropetrovsk remains in effect.
Shelling of Dnipropetrovsk region
Russian forces continue to shell the Dnipropetrovsk region regularly. For example, on September 5, Russia attacked the region with a drone. A rescuer was injured in the attack while under repeated fire along with his colleagues.
Regarding Pavlohrad, Russian forces shelled the city on July 7, hitting it with a missile.
In December 2023, during a shelling in the Pavlohrad district, a business was damaged, and a church was also affected. Eight people were injured, and one person was killed.
