Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will hold an online meeting on Wednesday with US President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance, reports ABC News.
The outlet reports that European allies will also be present at the virtual meeting.
Trump–Putin meeting
This Friday, August 15, US President Donald Trump will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Anchorage, Alaska.
According to Trump, he plans to discuss a resolution to Russia’s war against Ukraine and will also urge Putin to cease hostilities.
In addition, Trump hopes to negotiate a land-swap deal between Ukraine and Russia. However, he has promised that he will not make any agreement on Ukraine without Kyiv and Moscow reaching one themselves.
Amid these developments, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed today, August 12, that Ukraine will not cede control of Donbas to Russia.
