Russians attack Novomoskovsk: Bus overturned in explosion, dozens injured
Russians attacked Novomoskovsk in the Dnipropetrovsk region. The explosion overturned a minibus, and dozens of wounded have been reported, according to the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Serhii Lysak, and the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Ihor Klymenko.
"Preliminary, there are 24 victims in the city. Five of them are children. The boys are 4 and 8 years old. And girls aged 11, 16 and 17. All of them are in the hospital in moderate condition," says the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Serhii Lysak.
Consequences of the Russian shelling
According to Minister of Internal Affairs, Ihor Klymenko, a bus in Novomoskovsk was overturned by the blast wave.
"Eight passengers got out of the vehicle on their own. In total, 20 people, including 4 children, sought medical attention," he elaborates on the information about the victims.
In addition, according to the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, three administrative buildings, two gas stations, a five-story building, and a car were damaged.
Russian shelling of Ukraine
On the morning of January 8, an air alert was declared in Ukraine. The Ukrainian Air Force reported the takeoff of a MiG-31K. The entire map turned red within minutes. Explosions were heard in Dnipro, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhzhia, and air defense was operating in the Khmelnytskyi region. Kryvyi Rih came under a massive Russian missile attack.
