Attack of RF on Ukraine: Explosions, launches of Kinzhals, cruise and ballistic missiles

Today, on January 8, Russia attacked Ukraine early in the morning from strategic aviation, launching dozens of cruise missiles. The enemy also used Kinzhals and ballistic missiles, with explosions already reported in several cities.

Kharkiv and region
As the mayor of Kharkiv, Ihor Terekhov wrote, the morning in the city began with explosions.
"Possible new strikes, so I urge everyone to be cautious," - said the mayor.
In turn, the head of the Regional Military Administration (RMA) Oleh Synegubov writes that the occupiers have delivered at least 4 strikes to Kharkiv. The type of weaponry is being determined. At the moment - no casualties reported.
Moreover, in the Kharkiv region, Russians hit a private house in the city of Zmiiv.
"Medics are assisting two injured individuals, according to preliminary data, two more people are under the rubble. Emergency services are working at the scene," - Synegubov adds.
Zaporizhzhia
It was also reported about the threat of ballistic weapons, including for the Zaporizhzhia region and the city of Zaporizhzhia. Explosions were heard in the regional center.
"Information about the number and consequences of missile strikes on the territory of the city of Zaporizhzhia and settlements of the Zaporizhzhia region will be published after the alarm is over," - wrote the head of the Regional Military Administration Yurii Malashko.
Kryvyi Rih
Chairman of the Defense Council of Kryvyi Rih, Oleksandr Vilkul, reported a massive missile attack on the city.
"Massive missile attack on Kryvyi Rih. We do not ignore the air raid alert. We adhere to information hygiene," he wrote on social media.
As for the consequences of the missile attack, he has not provided information yet.
There has been no other shelling in the Kryvyi Rih district.
Shelling of Ukraine
After 6:00 AM, an air raid alert began spreading across Ukraine, covering all regions. This was because the Russians started launching missiles in several waves. In particular, the enemy launched cruise missiles from 11 strategic bombers Tu-95MS from the Caspian Sea area.
Shortly afterward, Russia started performing takeoffs of MiG-31K fighters, which launched air-ballistic Kinzhal missiles. The occupiers also attacked with ballistic missiles from the occupied Crimea. Explosions began to be heard in several cities.
