Russia's losses in Ukraine as of August 22: +790 troops and 318 drones

Over the past day, from August 21 to 22, the Russian army lost another 790 soldiers, 318 drones, and 33 cruise missiles on the frontline, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The total combat losses of the enemy from February 24, 2022, to August 22, 2025, are approximately as follows:
- personnel - about 1,074,320 (+790) Russian troops were eliminated;
- tanks - 11,124 (+4);
- troop-carrying AFVs - 23,160 (+3);
- artillery systems - 31,835 (+46);
- MLRS - 1,472 (+1);
- anti-aircraft systems - 1,210 (+1);
- aircraft - 422;
- helicopters - 340;
- UAV operational-tactical level - 52,787 (+318);
- cruise missiles - 3,598 (+33);
- warships/boats - 28;
- submarines - 1;
- vehicles and fuel tanks - 59,426 (+110);
- special equipment - 3,944.
As of the evening of August 21, there were 116 combat engagements on the frontline during the day. The number of battles in the Novopavlivka direction was almost the same as in the Pokrovsk direction.
We also reported that from August 20 to 21, the enemy lost another 830 soldiers in the war. In addition, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed 41 artillery systems, 315 drones, and 114 vehicles.
