In the past 24 hours, from August 20 to 21, the Russian army lost another 830 soldiers, 315 drones, and military vehicles on the front line, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The total combat losses of the Russian forces from February 24, 2022, to August 21, 2025, are approximately as follows:

  • personnel - about 1,073,530 (+830) Russian troops were eliminated;
  • tanks - 11,120 (+1);
  • troop-carrying AFVs - 23,157 (+5);
  • artillery systems - 31,789 (+41);
  • MLRS - 1,471 (+1);
  • anti-aircraft systems - 1,209 (+1);
  • aircraft - 422;
  • helicopters - 340;
  • UAV operational-tactical level - 52,469 (+315);
  • cruise missiles - 3,565;
  • warships/boats - 28;
  • submarines - 1;
  • vehicles and fuel tanks - 59,316 (+114);
  • special equipment - 3,944 (+1).

On August 20, there were 128 combat engagements on the front line. Russian forces carried out two missile strikes (launching five missiles) and 43 airstrikes, dropping 69 guided bombs, deployed 1,763 kamikaze drones, and shelled positions and settlements 3,892 times.
