Fighting near Dobropillia

On August 11, the analytical project DeepState reported a breakthrough by Russian forces near Dobropillia. According to their data, the occupiers approached the settlements of Kucheriv Yar, Zolotyi Kolodyaz, and Vesele.

The operational-strategic grouping of troops Dnipro confirmed that in this direction, the enemy is acting in small groups, attempting to exploit their numerical advantage and bypass the first line of defense. Meanwhile, in recent days, Ukrainian defenders have recaptured some previously lost positions.

Later, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that from August 4 to 16, several settlements in the Donetsk region were cleared of occupiers: Hruzke, Rubizhne, Novovodiane, Petrivka, Vesele, and Zolotyi Kolodyaz.

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrskyi, also noted that the enemy tried to capitalize on success near Dobropillia, taking advantage of difficult terrain and the lack of a continuous frontline. However, after redeploying Ukrainian units, the Russians’ triumphant mood turned into despair.
