Russians attack Kupiansk in Kharkiv region, injuring a teenager
Russian armed forces have launched yet another strike on Kupiansk, located within the Kharkiv region. A 14-year-old boy has been seriously wounded as a result of the attack, as Oleh Synehubov, Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, reports.
"Today, during the shelling of Kupiansk, a 14-year-old boy sustained injuries and has been hospitalized in a moderate-to-serious condition. Doctors are currently providing him with assistance," Synehubov said.
He once again urged the residents of Kupiansk to take safety measures.
"The enemy has intensified its shelling of the city and surrounding areas. Whenever possible, seek shelter," he added.
Attacks in the Kharkiv region
Occupying forces have been consistently bombarding the Kharkiv region, including Kupiansk, which was liberated by Ukrainian forces in September 2022. Today, Russian troops also targeted the village of Kozacha Lopan in the Kharkiv district, leading to fires. Two people were injured.
Meanwhile, the casualty count from the shelling of Kruhlyakivka village in the Kharkiv region has risen to three civilians. Occupying forces launched an attack on the settlement a day earlier, on August 7th. Prior reports indicated two fatalities and nine injuries.
