More than 10 strikes overnight: How Ukraine's air defenses fought off Russia's drone attack

On the night of October 3, Russian troops attacked Ukraine with strike drones from four directions. Air defense forces shot down most of the enemy drones, but some hit their targets, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.
The Russians launched 157 attack drones, including Shahed-type drones (45 of which were jet-powered), Gerbera drones, and Parodiya-type decoy drones, from the following directions: Bryansk and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, as well as the temporarily occupied territories of the Donetsk region and the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
According to preliminary data, as of 9:00 a.m. (Kyiv time), air defense forces shot down or neutralized 131 enemy drones, including Shahed, Gerbera, and other types.
Enemy airstrikes were recorded at 12 locations, and debris from downed drones was found at 5 locations.
This morning, the enemy attacked the Odesa region with Banderol-type loitering munitions. The consequences of the attack are being assessed.
The attack is ongoing, with several enemy drones in the airspace.
On the morning of October 3, Russian forces struck the Northern Bridge in Kyiv with a drone.
The strike damaged the road surface and the trolleybus overhead power lines. Traffic across the bridge from the left bank to the right bank has been blocked.
