Russians attack infrastructure facilities in Zaporizhzhia, casualties reported
Russian troops have launched another series of strikes on the territory of the Zaporizhzhia region, particularly targeting the city of Zaporizhzhia, according to the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov.
As a result of the shelling, infrastructure facilities were damaged, and three workers at these facilities sustained injuries.
According to Fedorov, medical personnel are already providing the necessary assistance to the victims.
Ukraine under fire on October 7
Today, October 7, an air alert was declared in Ukraine at 8:26 AM Kyiv time due to the detected takeoff of a Russian MiG-31K aircraft. The Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported fast-moving targets heading towards Kyiv and Starokostiantyniv. An explosion soon echoed in the capital, and the Kyiv City State Administration announced that air defense systems were actively engaged.
Missile debris was reported to have fallen in various districts of Kyiv. In the Solomianskyi district, debris damaged the roof of a multi-story building and fell onto the grounds of a school and an open area. In the Holosiivskyi district, debris landed on a vehicle, while in the Shevchenkivskyi district, it fell in an open area.
Additionally, on the night of October 7, Russia attacked Ukraine with an Iskander-M ballistic missile, a Kh-59 guided aviation missile, an unspecified type of missile, and combat drones. Air defense managed to shoot down two Kinzhal missiles and 32 enemy drones.
