Russians are becoming unsafe at their airfields, new incidents may occur - expert reveals
Russian occupiers are becoming unsafe at their airfields. They have relocated their aviation as far as possible. Still, there are other targets where "something might come flying in," according to Oleksandr Kovalenko, a military and political expert of the Information Resistance Group.
He says attacks on Russian territory have become so frequent that there's "no point pretending that Ukraine is not involved."
Kovalenko added that we are witnessing increased incidents recently, particularly concerning strategic aviation.
"It seems that there was a pause after 'Engels' in 2022, and now one airfield after another. Somehow, Russians are feeling unsafe at their airfields. They've certainly pushed their aviation away, but there are other targets where something might come flying in. So, we'll be waiting for new incidents," the expert noted.
Drone attacks on Russian airfields
Recall that on August 19th, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced an attack on the military airfield Soltsy in the Novgorod region.
And on August 21st, another drone attack allegedly occurred in the Kaluga region of Russia, specifically at the "Shaykovka" airfield.
