Russian troops take off aircraft from Saky airfield as explosions reported in Crimea
Explosions have been reported in the settlement of Oktiabrske in temporarily occupied Crimea, prompting Russian forces to deploy aircraft, according to partisan movement ATESH.
“Oktiabrske, Crimea, explosions,” the message reads.
Russian monitoring channels report a possible launch of Ukrainian drones from Odesa, heading toward Cape Tarkhankut and further east.
There are also reports of a possible launch of ballistic missiles toward the south from the border area between the Mykolaiv and Kherson regions.
Meanwhile, the Telegram channel Crimean Wind reported that Russian aircraft took off from the Saky airfield.
Situation in Crimea
In recent months, Ukrainian forces have been regularly striking Russian military targets in temporarily occupied Crimea.
Following recent Ukrainian attacks, structural degradation was observed on the Crimean Bridge.
At the same time, the Russians are constructing an unusual structure on the Crimean Bridge and continue to amass air defense forces in the crossing area.
Additionally, Russian troops are searching for alternatives to railway ferries in Crimea after their destruction by the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
