Russian troops shoot two Ukrainian prisoners of war in Pokrovsk direction
On November 10, Russian soldiers shot two Ukrainian defenders who had been captured in the Pokrovsk direction. An investigation has been launched into the incident, according to the Prosecutor General.
According to law enforcement, on November 10, the Russian troops launched assaults on the fortifications of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near the village of Novodmytrivka in the Pokrovsk district. They captured two Ukrainian soldiers there. Afterward, the Russians forced the prisoners to undress and, under the threat of firearms, marched them through a forested area, where they were shot.

The Prosecutor General's Office is also checking the information about the killing of three more wounded defenders at this position by the Russians.
Law enforcement reminded that such actions by the enemy are classified as a grave international crime and a serious violation of the Geneva Conventions. A pre-trial investigation has been launched into the war crime that resulted in fatalities.
Execution of Ukrainian POWs
It is worth noting that this is not the first case where Russians have executed Ukrainian prisoners of war. In the Pokrovsk direction alone, there are known instances of executions.
On October 1, then-Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin reported that the Russians carried out the largest execution of Ukrainian POWs since the beginning of the war, shooting 16 Ukrainian soldiers.
Additionally, in early November, Ukrainian law enforcement reported that the Russian soldiers executed six Ukrainian defenders who had been captured in the Pokrovsk direction.
