Russian troops shell Ukrainian Railways facilities in Kharkiv region, injuries reported
The Russian troops struck at civilian railroad infrastructure in the Kharkiv region, according to Ukrainian Railways.
"We currently have confirmation of hits on several of our facilities in the city and region. During the strikes, the employees were in the shelter," the message says.
According to preliminary data, six railroad workers were injured. They were provided with medical care.
Ukrainian Railways adds that trains continue to run on schedule.
Russian shelling of Kharkiv on May 23
Today, the Russian occupiers carried out a massive shelling of Kharkiv and Kharkiv region. There were several explosions, the number of which later increased to 15. The attacks began during an air raid alert, causing damage to residential areas and industrial facilities.
There are several reported hits, including one on a printing company.
The Russian shelling resulted in casualties and deaths. According to the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, 7 people were killed and 17 others were wounded in the Russian shelling.
