Russian troops kill man in Kherson on third day of Putin's ceasefire

Russian troops carried out a drone strike on Kherson on May 10, despite the ceasefire declared by the Kremlin. As a result of the attack, a man was killed, according to the Kherson Regional Military Administration.
Around 7:00 a.m. local time, Russian troops attacked a Kherson resident with a drone in the Dniprovskyi district.
“Unfortunately, as a result of the explosion, the man sustained severe injuries. He died on the spot. Our sincere condolences to his family and loved ones,” the statement reads.
According to the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Kherson and 15 other settlements in the region came under enemy fire over the past day. The Russians used drones and artillery.
Russian troops targeted residential neighborhoods, damaging four private homes. They also wrecked a private car. Two people were injured.
Russia’s ceasefire
Russian president Vladimir Putin declared a three-day ceasefire from May 8 to 10. Ukraine, for its part, reminded that over a month ago it agreed to a US proposal for a ceasefire.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that he agrees to a 30-day ceasefire, not a three-day one as proposed by Putin.
Russia did not launch strike drones against Ukraine for two nights. However, it did not cease attacking. Over the day, the Russian forces struck the Zaporizhzhia region nearly 300 times.
Fighting on the front line also did not stop, despite Kremlin promises. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Defense Forces repelled 196 combat engagements along the entire front line in the past 24 hours.
