Over the past day, during the so-called "ceasefire," Russian forces carried out 284 strikes on 13 settlements in Zaporizhzhia region. Several people were injured as a result of the attack, according to the Telegram channel of the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov.

"Three people were injured as a result of enemy attacks on Zaporizhzhia district," the statement reads.

Fedorov also provided details on the types of weapons used and which settlements were shelled by Russian forces over the past day. In particular:

  • A total of 170 drones of various types attacked Malokaterynivka, Bilenke, Novoiakovlivka, Novoboikivske, Magdalynivka, Kamianske, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, and Novodarivka.
  • Three multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) strikes targeted Shcherbaky and Novodarivka.
  • There were 111 artillery attacks on the areas of Kamianske, Pavlivka, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, and Novodarivka.

"Ten reports have been received about damage and destruction of apartments, private homes, and other property," the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration added.

Shelling of Zaporizhzhia and the region

Russian occupation forces continue to regularly shell Zaporizhzhia and the surrounding region, using both attack drones and various types of missiles.

For instance, on the evening of May 6, the enemy launched a massive drone attack on the regional center. The strike caused numerous fires, and four people were injured.
