Russian troops ditch armored vehicles for savage 'meat grinder' infantry assaults

Russian forces on the Toretsk front have not used armored vehicles in assaults for over a month and a half. Instead, the enemy relies on so-called "meat grinder" tactics, reports the Chief of Staff of the Spalah Unmanned Systems Battalion of the 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade, callsign Perepel.
"There have been no armored vehicles visible for about a month and a half. The main assaults are meat grinder attacks. Groups of two or three," the military officer explained.
According to Perepel, sometimes Russians temporarily secure positions in dugouts. However, Ukrainian forces then "smoke them out" using drones, destroying both the dugout and the enemy inside.
Russian losses in the war
According to the General Staff, since the start of the full-scale war, Russia has lost more than one million troops.
Notably, Russian forces lost 1,180 personnel in the past 24 hours.
Ukrainian soldiers also destroyed two tanks, three armored fighting vehicles, 39 artillery systems, two multiple launch rocket systems, one air defense system, one aircraft, 216 operational-tactical drones, and 104 enemy vehicles.
This morning, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine provided a detailed report on the frontline situation. They reported that on the Toretsk front, Russian forces launched six attacks on Ukrainian positions near Toretsk, Dyliivka, and Rusyn Yar since the start of the day.
