Russian strike sets gas station ablaze near residential building in Kharkiv

Russian forces targeted Kharkiv in Ukraine with a drone again on Saturday evening, August 29. The drone struck a gas station, sparking a fire, according to Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov.
At around 8:03 p.m., the mayor said the Russian army had attacked an apartment building in the city's Shevchenkivskyi district with a drone, causing a fire.
Mayor Terekhov later clarified that the strike actually hit a gas station.
"Based on updated information from the Situation Center, the strike hit a gas station near a residential apartment building. A fire broke out at the site. No casualties have been reported so far," the official's statement said.
Later, Regional Military Administration chief Oleh Syniehubov said a 69-year-old woman suffered an acute stress reaction as a result of the attack. Medics are currently providing her with all necessary care.
Kharkiv under Russian attacks
As often reported, Russia regularly attacks the city of Kharkiv. In particular, yesterday, August 28, Russian forces struck a gas station in the city's Slobidskyi district, also causing a fire and resulting in casualties.
In addition, the city was attacked by jet-powered drones that morning. Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported that Russians struck a shopping mall in the Kyivskyi district.
Reports also emerged that on August 27, Russia struck the Epicentr hypermarket. The attack caused partial structural damage and a fire.
