Russia strikes gas station in Ukraine's Kharkiv, killing one and injuring five

One person has been killed and five others injured so far after a drone strike in Kharkiv's Slobidskyi district, according to statements by Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov and Kharkiv Regional Military Administration head Oleh Syniehubov.
Drone strikes gas station
At around 5 p.m. Kyiv time, Terekhov reported that a combat drone had struck Kharkiv.
"The strike hit a gas station – a fire broke out at the site. There are people injured as a result of the strike on the gas station in the Slobidskyi district," he said.
He later reported that one person had been killed in the enemy strike on the gas station.
People injured in Kharkiv
Syniehubov later said that two people had been injured in the Russian strike on the Slobidskyi district.
"All emergency services are working at the site," he said.
Updated at 5:43 p.m.
At 5:41 p.m., Syniehubov said the preliminary number of people injured in the enemy attack on the Slobidskyi district had risen to five.
"Medics are providing all necessary assistance," he said.
Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that Russian forces attacked Kharkiv with jet-powered drones on the morning of August 28. A shopping center was targeted.
It was also reported that Russian forces attacked another Ukrainian shopping center in Kharkiv on August 27. The attack targeted the Epicentr hypermarket.
In addition, on August 26, Russian forces again attacked Gazmerezha (Gas Networks) facilities in two regions. The sites were damaged, and a worker in the Kharkiv region was injured.
