Russian strike rocks Odesa, causing destruction and injuries

A nighttime attack in southern Ukraine caused damage to an infrastructure facility and power outages in one of the districts. Emergency services are on site, assessing the impact of the strike, according to a post by Serhiy Lysak, head of the Odesa City Military Administration, on Telegram.
On the night of January 12, an enemy strike damaged an infrastructure facility in the Odesa district of the Odesa region.
As a result, electricity is temporarily out in part of the district. Information on the extent of the damage is still being clarified.
Casualties and damage
According to preliminary data, two people were injured as a result of the strike. In addition, residential buildings were damaged.
One private house was completely destroyed, and four other houses sustained varying degrees of damage.
Emergency response
According to Lysak, all necessary emergency and utility services were promptly dispatched to the site.
Specialists are working to deal with the consequences of the attack, assess the damage, and restore critical infrastructure. Authorities are urging residents to follow official information and adhere to safety measures.
At the time of publication, the drone attack in the Odesa region is still ongoing.
On the night of January 12, Russian forces again attempted to strike Kyiv with attack drones, prompting an air raid alert at 01:24 in the capital. The Kyiv City Military Administration urged residents not to ignore safety rules and to head to shelters. Explosions were also reported.
On the evening of January 11, a Russian shelling in Kramatorsk, Donetsk region, destroyed a boiler house that provided heating to one of the city’s neighborhoods. As a result, the management company began draining water from the network. The Kramatorsk City Military Administration warned residents of the Kondytsioner neighborhood about the consequences of the strike and emphasized that specialists from the heating organization, together with the management company, are taking measures to restore heat supply, despite complications caused by the significant drop in air temperature.
