On the evening of January 11, Russia destroyed a boiler room in Kramatorsk, Donetsk region, which supplied one of the city's microdistricts. As a result, the management company was forced to drain water from the networks, according to the Kramatorsk city military administration.

"Attention, residents of the Kondytsioner microdistrict! As a result of the recent Russian strike, the boiler room that provided heat to the microdistrict was destroyed," the statement says.

Specialists from the heat supply organization, together with representatives of the management company, are taking measures to restore the heat supply. The situation is complicated by the fact that the air temperature has dropped significantly.

"Under these conditions, to prevent water from freezing and damage to pipelines in the absence of a heat carrier, the management company is forced to drain water from the heating and water supply systems," the statement says.

Residents are also asked to drain water from plumbing fixtures in their apartments themselves, as the company is unable to do so. If the water freezes there, it can damage the fixtures.

Recently, the Russians have been trying to hit boiler rooms to leave people without heating in the cold. Thus, on the night of January 9, Russia deliberately attacked boiler rooms in various districts of Kyiv. This is energy terrorism and another Russian attempt to turn winter into a weapon.

On January 11, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that after Russia's strikes on critical infrastructure, the situation in many regions of Ukraine remains difficult. He also emphasized earlier that Russia was waiting for the cold weather to deliberately terrorize Ukrainians.
