Russian strike on Zaporizhzhia injures 16, including children
The number of people injured in the shelling of Zaporizhzhia on September 29 has risen to 16. The rescue operation has concluded, according to the Telegram account of Ivan Fedorov, Head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
“Sixteen people have already sought medical help due to the enemy attack in Zaporizhzhia,” said the head of the Regional Military Administration.
According to Fedorov, the casualties include nine women, five men, and two children — a 17-year-old teenager and an 8-year-old girl.
“Two injured women remain in the hospital,” he confirmed.
Additionally, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine noted that search and rescue operations at the strike sites have been completed.
Bombing in Zaporizhzhia
Russian forces shelled Zaporizhzhia with aviation bombs on the morning of September 29. Initially, reports indicated five injuries, but the number of casualties began to rise.
In particular, rescuers managed to pull two people from the rubble. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy responded to the attack on Zaporizhzhia, stating that in one week, Russians have attacked Ukraine with nearly 900 aerial bombs, over 300 Shaheds, and more than 40 missiles.
