Russian forces likely struck Kryvyi Rih with Iskander-M ballistic missiles. The number of casualties has already risen to eight, according to a statement from the head of the Kryvyi Rih Defense Council, Oleksandr Vilkul, and the State Emergency Service.

"As of now, there are eight injured, none seriously. Five have been hospitalized, while three received medical assistance on the spot. Preliminary reports indicate Iskander-M ballistic missiles," Vilkul explained.

Vilkul provided details about two attacks that occurred in the city. According to him, the first strike hit a nightclub located in a densely built-up area. A relief center for affected residents was set up in a nearby school, which is clearly visible from the incident site and has a shelter.

The second strike, according to Vilkul, targeted a civilian infrastructure facility. He stated that the relief center was once again deployed in the same location where it had operated in similar situations before, emphasizing that a shelter is also available.

"Building materials, applications for financial assistance from the city — help will be provided to everyone in need. The fires have already been extinguished. All services are working," the head of the Defense Council reported.

Earlier today, it was reported that Russian forces had launched a missile strike on Kryvyi Rih

Previous attacks on Kryvyi Rih

The previous attack on the city took place on March 12. On that day, Russian forces targeted Kryvyi Rih with ballistic missiles.

As a result of the strike, a woman was killed while riding a trolleybus near the impact site. Additionally, 15 people were injured.

One of the strikes also hit the Druzhba Hotel. At the time of the attack, volunteers from a humanitarian organization — citizens of Ukraine, the United States, and the United Kingdom — were present in the hotel.
