Russian massive attack on Kyiv

On the night of May 24, Russian forces launched a large-scale strike on the Kyiv region. Russia attacked Bila Tserkva of the Kyiv region with an Oreshnik ballistic missile.

Simultaneously, Russia launched a massive drone strike. According to military analyst Serhii Beskrestnov, the Russians attempted to overwhelm Ukrainian air defense systems with sheer numbers of drones rather than technological innovations.

As a result of falling debris and strikes, significant destruction was recorded in Kyiv. In particular, a shopping center and a market in the Lukianivka area were burned down. Due to the scale of the Russian attack, Ukraine urgently convened a meeting of the UN Security Council and OSCE bodies.
