The death toll from the Russian strike on Kyiv during the night of July 31 has risen to 26 people, including three children, according to the State Emergency Service (SES).

“Overnight and in the morning, rescuers recovered 10 bodies from under the rubble of a residential building in the Sviatoshynskyi district, including a 2-year-old child,” the SES reported.

As of the morning of August 1, it is also known that 159 people were injured in the attack, including 16 children. SES psychologists have provided assistance to 112 people.

“Over 2,000 tons of debris have been removed from the site. A total of 180 rescuers and 60 units of equipment have been involved in the response. The work is ongoing,” the rescuers reported.

Attack on Kyiv

On the night of July 31, Russian forces launched a massive strike on Ukraine. The Russians used 309 attack drones and eight Iskander-K cruise missiles - the main target was Kyiv.

In the Sviatoshynskyi district, an entrance section of a multi-story residential building was destroyed.
