Missile hits Kyiv apartment building: entrance destroyed, people trapped under rubble - RBC-Ukraine report

Russia attacked Kyiv with missiles early in the morning on July 31. In the Sviatoshynskyi district, an entire section of a residential building was destroyed - people are trapped under the rubble.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that due to Russia's attack, a missile struck a residential building directly. Zelenskyy also published a video from the site, showing part of a multi-story building destroyed. The President confirmed that people are trapped under the rubble.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko also reported on the destroyed building section in the Sviatoshynskyi district. Klitschko noted that fires had broken out in several non-residential buildings in that area.
Meanwhile, Head of the Kyiv City Military Administration Tymur Tkachenko said that the enemy once again struck a 9-story residential building in the Sviatoshynskyi district with direct fire.
Damage in other districts of Kyiv
In the Solomianskyi district, apartments in several buildings were damaged. Cars caught fire. Fires and damage were also reported at several non-residential sites.
Meanwhile, in the Holosiivskyi district, several buildings were damaged, including a school and a kindergarten.
Furthermore, in the Shevchenkivskyi district, the blast wave shattered windows in the children's ward of a medical facility.
In total, the Russian combined attack caused damage at more than 27 locations across Kyiv.

Starting overnight, Russia launched a massive drone attack on Kyiv, prompting air defense systems to respond. Enemy drones approached the city from various directions. According to authorities, the greatest destruction was recorded in the Solomianskyi district, where a university building and residential buildings were damaged.
By the morning of July 31, the enemy had launched missile strikes on Kyiv. So far, two deaths and over 50 injuries have been reported.
