The number of casualties of Russia's large-scale strike on Lviv on 4 September is growing. Over 140 rescuers are working at the scene, according to the first deputy head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, Andrii Hodyk, and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

According to Hodyk, as of noon, 7 people have been reported killed, including 3 children. The youngest child was 7 years old.

"As for the injured, 53 people have applied for medical assistance so far. They are being provided with medical care depending on the level of complexity. The youngest child who was injured is 6 years old," he says.

The deputy head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration notes that most of the damage was caused by shrapnel, as a large number of windows were smashed by the shock wave.

"We are continuing emergency search operations at the facilities. We hope that if someone is under the rubble, they are alive above all," Hodyk adds.

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine emphasizes that over 140 rescuers and 33 units of special equipment are involved. According to the rescuers, as of 11:30 a.m., 47 people were reported injured.

The head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, Maksym Kozytskyi, adds that the biggest difficulty in eliminating the consequences is that there is a large depth of rubble at one of the locations in a very limited area. There may still be people under it.
