On the night of May 30, Russian forces struck the Slobidskyi district of Kharkiv with drones. As a result of the attack on the tram depot, there is significant damage and casualties, according to the Telegram channel of the city mayor, Ihor Terekhov.

"The enemy launched 8 Shahed drones at one of the depots where our trolleybuses were undergoing repair and maintenance. As a result, not only was the municipal enterprise damaged, but also more than thirty apartment buildings. Two people required medical assistance," the report says.

Regarding the depot, Terekhov clarified that, as usual, most of the transport was dispersed around the city in advance, which prevented greater losses. However, the equipment that was under repair was hit. In particular, one trolleybus was completely destroyed, and another 18 suffered varying degrees of damage.

"Despite this, the city’s transport system continues to operate. Kharkiv residents still use free transportation. I also thank all the partners who are sending new trolleybuses and buses to Kharkiv," he concluded.

At the same time, the head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, clarified that two more people sought medical help.

"As a result of today’s attack by enemy UAVs, a 61-year-old and an 84-year-old woman experienced acute stress reactions. The injured are receiving medical care," Syniehubov wrote at 07:17.

However, it is unclear whether this is a clarification regarding the two injured mentioned in Terekhov’s post or additional information about a larger number of victims.

Updated at 09:03 AM Kyiv time. Syniehubov provided new data. According to the updated information, the attack in Kharkiv damaged the windows of 33 apartment buildings, a trolleybus depot, and 39 trolleybuses.

Attack on Kharkiv

Last night, from about 03:10 to 03:30 Kyiv time, several series of explosions rang out in Kharkiv.

At first, the military detected the launch of a high-speed target (a missile or bomb), but it fell in the region. After that, the city was hit by a drone raid.

As was soon confirmed, all the drones attacked the Slobidskyi district of Kharkiv, specifically a communal enterprise - the trolleybus depot. Fires were recorded at the impact sites, and nearby residential buildings were also damaged.

Terekhov reported that a female employee of the communal enterprise was injured while at the depot during the attack. Syniehubov mentioned a 61-year-old injured woman, but it was unclear whether they were referring to the same person or two different individuals.
