On the night of July 12, Russia launched a large number of Shahed drones toward Ukraine. Amid the attack, explosions were reported in Kropyvnytskyi and Cherkasy, according to Suspilne.

The Ukrainian Air Force confirmed that enemy drones were actively operating in the skies over Ukrainian cities. Drones were spotted in the Sumy, Chernihiv, Poltava, Kherson, Kirovohrad, Vinnytsia, and Kyiv regions.

Ukrainians were warned that the drones were heading toward the Zhytomyr and Cherkasy regions, and that there was a threat of strike drones being used against Kyiv.

Local authorities have not yet commented on the explosions in Kropyvnytskyi and Cherkasy. However, the head of the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration, Ihor Taburets, issued a warning about an increased threat to the region.

"Heightened danger. Threat of enemy strike UAVs," he wrote.

Attack on Ukraine – July 11

On the night of July 11, Russia launched drone attacks. In the early morning, a series of explosions rocked Kharkiv, where drones targeted the city center. One of the blasts hit a maternity hospital, where mothers and newborns were present.

Explosions were also reported in Chuhuiv, Kharkiv region, where a hospital building was damaged by the strike. Several people were injured.

In Mykolaiv, explosions were heard as well. A fire broke out in the city following a Shahed drone attack.
