A large fire broke out on the outskirts of Mykolaiv following a series of explosions, as the city once again came under threat from Russian drone strikes, according to Mykolaiv Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych.

The Ukrainian Air Force reported as early as 12:56 AM Kyiv time that several groups of strike UAVs had begun moving through the Kherson region toward Mykolaiv.

At 1:28 AM Kyiv time, an air raid alert was declared in the Mykolaiv region.

By 2:20 and 2:58, Mykolaiv Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych had already reported explosions in the city.

Social media users also reported hearing explosions at 2:26, 2:27, 2:41, and 3:02.

According to local authorities, the explosions in Mykolaiv caused a fire on the outskirts of the city.

This was confirmed at 3:18 AM Kyiv time by the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, Vitalii Kim, who noted that all relevant services were working at the scene.

The air raid alert in the region was lifted at 3:17 AM Kyiv time.

Update on overnight attack on Ukraine on July 11

During the night of July 11, Russian forces launched Shahed-type attack drones on Chuhuiv in the Kharkiv region. According to the city’s mayor, the building of the Chuhuiv Central Hospital sustained significant damage.

Earlier reports indicated that around 1:00 AM Kyiv time, loud explosions were heard in the Chuhuiv community. At the time, an air raid alert had been declared in the region.
