Russian Shahed drones hit Ukrainian city Kharkiv overnight: Homes and cars damaged

On the night of October 6, Russian forces attacked the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv with strike drones. Fires broke out in the city, and there are reports of destruction and casualties, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (DSNS).
"In the Novobavarskyi district of Kharkiv, fires and destruction occurred on the territory of one of the facilities, and in the Shevchenkivskyi district, a car caught fire. In addition, private residential buildings, warehouse facilities, garages, and passenger cars were damaged," the statement said.
According to preliminary information, four people were injured.
Rescuers, as well as medical and pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Service, were involved in eliminating the consequences.
Rescuers also published photos of the aftermath of the enemy attack.
Russian air attacks
On the night of October 6, Russian forces again attacked Ukraine with Shahed kamikaze drones. Air raid alerts were declared in several regions, and air defense forces were active.
In Kharkiv, the attack commenced around 11:00 p.m. and lasted approximately an hour. As a result of the strikes, private houses were damaged, and several people experienced acute stress reactions.
In addition, on Sunday, October 5, the enemy destroyed a Nova Poshta (a Ukrainian postal and delivery service) branch in the Donetsk region. More than 400 parcels, valued at over one million hryvnias (about $25,000), were damaged.
On Sunday night, the Russians carried out one of the most massive attacks on Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale war. The aggressor used a large number of drones, cruise missiles, and Kinzhal aero-ballistic missiles.
