Russian offensives stall across multiple fronts as Ukraine counterattacks, ISW says

Over the past two days, Russian forces attempted to advance in several sectors, but Ukraine's Defense Forces halted their progress, according to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
On August 23 and 24, Russian forces continued offensive operations in the northern Kharkiv region, but were unable to advance due to Ukrainian counterattacks. In particular, on August 23, a Russian military blogger reported a Ukrainian counterattack near Vovchansk.
In the Velykyi Burluk direction, Russian forces also conducted limited offensive operations but failed to make progress.
In the Kupiansk direction, Russian forces continued their offensive on August 23 and 24, but no confirmed advances were recorded.
In the Borova direction, Russian forces also carried out limited attacks without success. Geolocated footage from August 23 indicates that Ukrainian troops are holding positions near Novoplatonivka, despite Russian claims of advances.
At the same time, the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck Russian fuel and logistics infrastructure in the occupied Luhansk region. On August 24, the General Staff reported strikes on logistics depots in Stepne (roughly 107 kilometers from the frontline) and Khrustalne (roughly 86 kilometers from the frontline).
In the Sloviansk direction, Ukrainian troops, by contrast, recently advanced. Geolocated footage confirms Ukrainian advances east of Dibrova, southwest of Lyman.
In the Kostiantynivka-Druzhkivka tactical direction, Russian forces continued offensive operations on August 23 and 24 but made no confirmed advances.
In the Dobropillia area, Russian forces also attacked without confirmed success. Russian offensive operations in the Pokrovsk, Novopavlivka, and Oleksandrivka directions on August 23 and 24 also failed to result in territorial gains.
In addition, Ukrainian forces continued conducting medium-range strikes against Russian military targets in the occupied part of the Donetsk region.
The day before, Ukraine called on the UN Security Council to adopt a resolution demanding that Russia end the war.
The Kremlin also cynically stated that it intends to attack Ukraine every day, both day and night.
