Russian night assault: Over 10 air targets downed by Ukrainian Air Defense
In a recent development on December 2, the Russian Federation initiated an attack on Ukraine deploying missiles and drones. According to the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Telegram, the air defense successfully intercepted and destroyed 10 Shaheds and 1 Kh-59 missile.
During the night of December 2, Russia initiated an attack on Ukraine, deploying 11 Shahed attack drones from Chauda Cape (Crimea) and launching a guided air missile from the airspace of the occupied Zaporizhzhia region.
In the course of the combat operations, Ukrainian Air Defense successfully intercepted and destroyed 10 Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs in the Odesa region, along with one Kh-59 guided air missile in the Dnipropetrovsk region, as reported.
The occupiers also targeted the Chervonohryhoriv community in the Nikopol district with heavy artillery. The regional military administration notes that there are no reported casualties or injuries.
It is important to highlight that explosions were heard in the suburbs of Dnipro during the air raid that took place overnight.
Shelling of Dnipropetrovsk region
Nikopol, located in the Dnipropetrovsk region, is currently facing constant artillery fire from the occupiers, attacking the city from the opposite bank of the Dnieper, particularly from the temporarily captured Enerhodar in Zaporizhzhia region.
Recent reports indicate that Russian terrorists targeted a five-story building in Nikopol in the morning, resulting in one fatality and two women sustaining injuries.
Additionally, the Russian military launched a missile attack on Kryvyi Rih on the night of Thursday to Friday, December 1.
