In Trostianets, Sumy region, a Russian missile strike on August 26 completely destroyed the town's water intake facility. About one hundred residents were left without water supply, Mayor Yuriy Bova told Suspilne.

"The water intake cannot be restored in a month or two. It is completely destroyed," the mayor said.

According to him, water deliveries have been organized for residents.

In Trostianets, as a result of the Russian attack, four apartment buildings were also damaged. There were no casualties. Emergency services are working on site to provide assistance to residents.

Attack on Sumy region

Today, August 26, Russian forces attacked the Shostka community in Sumy region. As a result, civilian infrastructure was damaged and three men aged 35, 44, and 48 were injured.

Due to the strikes, part of the Shostka community was left without electricity. Critical infrastructure is operating on backup power, and there are communication disruptions. Points of Invincibility have also been deployed, and repair work is ongoing.
