Russia strikes Ukraine with missile and 161 drones overnight: Air defense's work reported

On the night of September 11, Russia attacked Ukraine with a Banderol missile and a swarm of 161 strike drones, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.
Russia struck Ukraine with an S8000 Banderol missile, which was launched from the Belgorod region of Russia. Additionally, 161 Shahed-type strike drones flew toward Ukraine, including jet-powered drones, Gerbera drones, and Paroiya decoy drones.
The targets approached from several directions simultaneously:
- Oryol
- Kursk
- Primorsko-Akhtarsk
- Temporarily occupied Donetsk
- Hvardiiske in the temporarily occupied Crimea.
Russian air attack was repelled by the Air Force, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, drone operators, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 8 a.m., Ukrainian air defense forces had shot down or neutralized 138 Russian drones—including Shahed, Gerbera, and other types of drones.
Russian aerial attacks struck 19 locations directly. Debris from the downed targets fell in three additional locations.
8 people were injured: two suffered burns and were hospitalized, and another young woman sustained shrapnel wounds.
The day before, the Russians also attacked the Kyiv region, where a civilian warehouse in the Bucha district caught fire due to a Russian drone.
In that incident, 17 facilities were damaged, and one person was killed.
