Russian missile strike on Kharkiv: Casualties increased
The number of people injured in Kharkiv as a result of the Russian rocket attack on January 2 has increased. 63 people were injured, according to the Kharkiv regional prosecutor's office.
"As a result of an enemy missile attack on the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kharkiv on January 2, the number of injured increased to 63," the statement reads.
According to the prosecutor's office, a 23-year-old girl turned to doctors. She had an acute trauma (contusion).
Earlier, the prosecutor's office noted that there were five children among the victims. It is also known about the victim.
Russian massive shelling of Ukraine on January 2
On January 2, the Russian occupiers repeated a large-scale shelling, like on December 29. First, the Russians launched 35 kamikaze drones, which were all shot down. After that, 99 missiles of various types were fired at Ukraine, including aerial ballistic Kinzhals.
Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Valerii Zaluzhnyi said that air defense forces shot down 72 missiles yesterday, including all 10 Kinzhals. The main targets of the enemy were Kyiv and Kharkiv. Three missile hits were recorded in the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kharkiv.
