Russian missile carriers detected in Black Sea: Possible Kalibr salvo named
Russia deployed six warships on combat duty in the Black Sea this morning, November 24. Three of these ships are armed with sea-based Kalibr cruise missiles, according to the Ukrainian Navy.
The Ministry of Defense clarified that these three missile carriers in the Black Sea are capable of launching up to six Kalibr missiles in a single salvo if an attack occurs.
Meanwhile, no enemy naval group has been observed in the Sea of Azov.
The Ukrainian Navy also reported that Russian ships are absent from the Mediterranean Sea.
The military command also stated that over the past 24 hours, in the interests of Russia, the following vessels passed through the Kerch Strait:
- to the Black Sea: 4 ships, 1 of which continued toward the Bosporus Strait;
- to the Sea of Azov: 5 ships, 3 of which were coming from the Bosporus Strait.
Yesterday morning, November 23, six Russian ships were spotted in the Black Sea, carrying Kalibr missiles with a total salvo of up to 23 missiles.
The same number of missile carriers was observed in the Black Sea the day before, November 22. On November 21, there were five enemy missile carriers in the Black Sea, capable of launching up to 28 Kalibr missiles.
In mid-November, Ukrainian Navy spokesman Dmytro Pletenchuk noted that the effectiveness of the Kalibr missiles used by Russia to attack Ukraine had significantly reduced.
